MULTILINGUAL COLLECTIONS
ARE ONLY THE BEGINNING.
Move beyond acquisition. Build visibility, understanding, community connection, and sustainable multilingual library practice.
POSTPONED
Making room for more libraries to participate
Interest in WEPA Activate has been strong, but libraries had competing needs for session dates and times. We are postponing the program while we gather feedback from interested institutions and explore a revised format and schedule.
New dates and registration will be shared once confirmed.
BEYOND THE COLLECTION
Multilingual library service
doesn’t end at the shelf.
A strong multilingual collection creates access. What happens around that collection determines how deeply it becomes part of library practice — how patrons discover it, how staff understands its use, how community relationships inform the work, and how the collection continues to evolve.
WEPA Activate brings those pieces together through one connected learning arc.
01
ACTIVATE
Make it visible.
02
INTERPRET
Understand the evidence.
03
CONNECT
Build with the community.
04
SUSTAIN
Make the work last.
THE 2026 SERIES
Four sessions. Four questions worth working through.
Each 90-minute session focuses on a distinct area of multilingual library practice while building toward
a more connected approach to visibility, evidence, community partnership, and long-term sustainability.

FAQ
Before you join us.
-
Yes. Institutions requiring a purchase order may request a formal quote. Once we receive your PO or PO number, we’ll issue an invoice with NET 30 terms. Payment must be received within those terms to guarantee registration.
-
WEPA Activate is designed for library institutions and individual library professionals who want to strengthen how multilingual collections are activated, understood, connected to communities, and sustained over time. Public, school, and academic library professionals are welcome. You do not need to be an existing ¡WEPA! líbros® client to participate.
-
No. WEPA Activate is intentionally designed as a connected four-session professional learning experience. Registration includes the complete 2026–27 series.
-
Yes. All four sessions are delivered live virtually. Registered participants will also receive access to session recordings and accompanying resources following each session.
-
Individual participants who complete the qualifying live-attendance requirements across all four sessions will receive a 2026–27 Founding Cohort digital badge and Certificate of Completion. Watching a recording does not substitute for live participation for purposes of earning the completion credential.
-
An institution must have at least one registered representative attend each of the four live sessions. The same person does not need to attend every session. Institutions meeting the requirement will receive a 2026–27 Founding Organization digital badge and Certificate of Recognition.
-
The $499 Institutional Pass provides access to the complete four-session series for up to five staff members from the same institution. Registered participants receive access to live sessions, implementation guides, resources and recordings, and may earn individual completion credentials when attendance requirements are met.
-
We offer tailored institutional registration for teams of more than five. Submit a quote request with your institution and anticipated number of participants, and we’ll provide pricing for your team.
-
Registered participants will have access to the session recording and accompanying resources. However, recordings do not replace qualifying live attendance for individual Founding Cohort completion requirements. Institutional Pass holders may have another registered staff member represent their institution live.
