How we started

Verónica Ramos is the founder and CEO of ¡WEPA! líbros ™. 

She started ¡WEPA! líbros ™ with the mission to make noteworthy multilingual literature accessible for children in the US.

Veronica has dedicated over a decade in the field of education, starting as an ESL educator, transitioning into leadership, and eventually serving at the university level as an instructor & mentor to the bilingual teacher pipeline in Chicago. Her experience in education serves as the catalyst in making ¡WEPA! líbros ™ a partner for community hubs that serve multilingual communities.  

On a personal level, she has she has volunteered her time supporting refugee resettlement, immigrant education, and mentoring migrant students.

She has a BA in Spanish Language & Literature, Masters in Educational Leadership, and specializations in Bilingual & Special Education. 

Verónica currently lives in the Chicagoland area with her husband, daughter Vida, son Enrique, and her bilingual pets Nacho & Luquillo.
